1975 Suzuki RE5 just showed up on my local Craigslist tonight. In case you didn’t know (I didn’t as of 12 minutes ago) these bike are powered by a Wankel Rotary engine. So fucking cool! How much do these sell for nowadays? They were only offered in ‘75 and ‘76 so they’ve gotta be pretty rare!
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Also check out this video about the RE5 if you’ve got some time on your hands.

I wonder why it’s so cheap! Really unique bike and I had no idea it existed until tonight haha
It showed up on my local craigslist but the bike is actually about 2.5 hours away. If it were actually in my city, I’d be there tomorrow to check it out!

The gauges in the tube look really weird. Later on they made them with a normal 3 dial look. I read about these a while ago and the general attitude was that despite the Wankel engine they weren’t too sporty.
There are videos of Norton’s rotary bikes on track and they scream like Mazda’s Le Mans cars.

An RE5 was the most interesting bike I saw at Sturgis last year.
